Border to Coast Pensions Partnership
The innovative ‘UK Opportunities’ proposition is set to drive £0.5bn of investment in the UK. Launched in April 2024, as part of our £16bn private markets programme), it is the first national fund of its kind by any LGPS pool. It targets attractive risk-adjusted returns across a wide range of private market asset classes whilst generating a positive impact which will be measured and reported to our investors over the long term. It also introduces a mechanism to assist our stakeholders in presenting institutional quality investment propositions to the managers we partner with.
Norfolk Pension Fund
The Fund has used it approach of running multiple investment strategies to meet the new funding and investment challenges, as employer solvency levels have improved dramatically. This has allowed ongoing employers to better manage risk and for those were exiting the LGPS is an optimum solution, we have been able to support this through investment changes that minimise the risk of unexpected funding outcomes on the path to cessation. In a small number of cases the Fund has been able to support investment strategy changes that have allowed the employer to de-risk their participation while continuing membership of the scheme.
