Bob was head of Wandsworth’s pension fund being appointed as Pensions Manager in 1998. When he left Wandsworth the find investment returns were in the top 5 of all local government funds over 1, 3, 5 and 10 year periods. He has since assisted West Midlands Pension Fund with investment and other issues.

He drove the formation of collective investment vehicles setting out the framework that most pools still follow. He has sat on many scheme wide bodies including two committees on the shadow scheme advisory board, officer advisory group and technical group. He has also assisted DCLG on their regulation review group.
