Yunus is Assistant Director (Finance, Administration and Governance) and has over 40 years experience of pensions administration. His career began with West Yorkshire Metropolitan County Council in January 1982 before the pensions function was transferred to the City of Bradford MDC on abolition of WYMCC on 31 March 1986. Yunus has overseen a number of changes over the years, most of which has had a positive impact on raising awareness of pensions, particularly for scheme members and employers. He has been instrumental in developing WYPF’s shared service model which now includes 3 other LGPS Funds and 23 Fire Authorities. His focus has been on delivering a high quality service at a low cost. In his spare time Yunus is a keen sports person (mainly from the comfort of his living room!) and sits as a trustee on three charitable organisations. He has recently become a proud grandparent to adorable twins.
